Meet our Staff of Insurance Professionals Jerry Dils - President/CEO Jerry graduated from Indiana University in 1963 with a B.S. in Business. He and his wife Judy have 3 children, Jenny Durr, Jessie Hovde, & John Dils. Jerry is a lifelong resident of Richmond, and formed RMD Insurance in 1967 with two other local agencies. In 1999 RMD Insurance and the Patti Agency merged to form the present day RMD/Patti Insurance. Jerry opened an Indianapolis office in 1998, and in 1999 purchased the Mullinix-Bartman Agency, which is now our RMD/Patti Indianapolis branch. Jerry has served as an officer and board member for the Richmond Area Chamber of Commerce, was the President of the Wayne County Commisioners from 1976-1986, and is the past President of Associated Risk Mangers of Indiana (www.arm-in.org). Rick Niersbach - CPCU VP/COO A lifetime Richmond, Indiana resident, Rick graduated from Richmond High School in 1970, Depauw Univerisity in 1974, and began his career at Patti Insurance Agency in 1975. Rick earned the Chartered Property & Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation in 1986. Rick's agency reponsibilities include being Chief Operations Officer & Corporate Vice President, as well as the production and service of commercial insurance with an emphasis on many charitable and non profit organizations throughout the Wayne County community. Outside the office, Rick enjoys the occasional round of golf, and is a long distance backpacking enthusiast. Rick and wife Karen have two grown children, Sarah and David. Greg Dils - Commercial & Personal Lines Agent Greg has been with RMD/Patti Insurance since 1972. He primarily concentrates on commercial lines and is still very commited to personal lines as well. Greg attended Indiana University majoring in Marketing. His daughter Lindsey is currently attending IU. For the last 10 years Greg has been heavily involved with the Special Olympics, coaching various sporting teams in events across the state. Russ Turner - Commercial & Personal Lines Agent Russ spent his first 11 years in insurance as a company claims representative. Russ started with the original RMD Agency in 1972. He is involved in all lines of insurance, primarily commercial and farm. Russ has been active over the years with several insurance company/agency advisory committees, the local "Big I", Centerville Youth League, Center Township Trustee Advisory Board and the Wayne County Soil & Water Conversation District. Russ and his wife Ginny are the parents of 2 and have two grandchildren. Barb Osborn - Personal Lines Agent Barb has been with RMD/Patti Insurance since 1978. Barb's primary focus is personal lines, but she also has expertise in farm, volunteer fire department, and small business policies. Barb is a lifelong resident of Wayne County, raised on a dairy farm north of Williamsburg. Barb and her husband Jeff live near Webster and have 3 children. Clay Taylor - Personal & Commercial Lines Agent Clay is a lifelong resident of Wayne County and has been with the agency since 1981 specializing in personal lines and small to medium sized commercial risks. Clay lives near Williamsburg, Indiana with his wife Marty. John Dils - Commercial & Personal Lines Agent John was born and raised in Richmond. He attended The University of Indianapolis on a swimming scholarship while studying Business Administration and Accounting. In 1994 John joined the organization as a general insurance producer. He later shifted those responsibilities to include daily office administration, overseeing the Affordable Insurance Agency(RMD/Patti non-standard auto agency) while still maintaining a producer's roll of protection and security of his commercial accounts. John is the 1999 past Chairman of the Richmond/Wayne County Chamber of Commerce, the 2000 past Chairman of Industries Inc(a for profit industrial development company owned by the Chamber), and current past Chairman of ARM of Indiana (www.arm-in.org). Jenny Durr - Commercial Lines Agent - Indianapolis Office Jenny is a graduate of Indiana University , located in beautiful Bloomington, Indiana. Jenny joined the agency in 1997 and was the driving force in creating the Indianapolis office. Jenny concentrates her efforts on commercial insurance and her expertise is commercial contractors, insuring many high profile contractors in Central Indiana. Recently, Jenny has become very involved in the Independent Insurance Agents of Indiana, serving on the IIAI State Board of Directors as well as the IIAI Convention Committee. In addition, Jenny represents RMD/Patti as a member of the executive commitee for Associated Risk Managers (ARM) of Indiana and is active with ARM Partners, a national marketing partnership with A.J Gallagher. Jenny aspires to a "Good to Great" way of thinking and believes that the sky truely is the limit. Tyler Vanderpool - Life & Health Agent Tyler is a Richmond, Indiana native, graduating from Richmond High School in 1990. He graduated with a B.S. in Marketing from Miami University in 1994. Tyler joined his father Tim in the insurance business in 1997. He is a benefits specialist, working with all health and life insurance products for groups and individuals. Tyler and his wife Molly live in Richmond. Greg Easley - Commercial Lines Agent Greg graduated from Earlham College in 1991 with a B.A. in Management. He has been a licensed insurance agent specializing in commercial insurance related risks since 1992. His insurance career began with the original Patti Agency. He spent two years away from the insurance industry as the national sales manager for a plastic extrusion manufacturer. He then joined the RMD/Patti Agency team when the two agencies merged in the spring of 1999. Greg resides in Richmond with his wife Barb and their two children. Todd Byrd - Life & Health Agent - Indianapolis Office Todd graduated from Indiana University with a B.S. in Public Finance. Todd specializes in group benefits and individual life insurance. Prior to joining the team at RMD/Patti in 2001, he was a sales manager with a group health insurance carrier, where he trained, educated, and assisted in selling for over 350 independant agents. Todd is a member of the National Association of Health Underwriters and is a member of its Presidents' Council. Todd also serves on the Agents Advisory Council for selected insurance carriers and is the president of the Lebanon Education Foundation. Todd resides in Lebonon with his wife Teresa and their three children. Joe Glaser - Commercial & Personal Agent - Indianapolis Office Joe graduated from Indiana University in 1976 with a B.S. in Business and began his insurance career directly out of college. Joe left the company side of the business and joined an agency in 1979. Residing in Carmel, Joe concentrates his efforts in the commercial property & casualty arena, yet is very comfortable with personal lines and life/health issues. He has considerable expertise in assisting non profit organizations and handling their special needs. His extensive background and experience enable him to assist his clients in any area they might pursue.
Angie Race - Commercial & Personal Lines Agent
A Brookville native, Angie began working part time as a CSR for a local agent in 1995. Initially, she focused primarily on personal lines and farms. In a short amount of time, she converted to working full time and began learning commercial lines. In 2000, she took a position as the Managing Agent of the MainSource Insurance office in Brookville. During this time she focused primarily on the agency growth and writing commercial lines business. Looking for a challenge, she brought her expertise to the RMD Patti Agency in June 2006. She enjoys spending time with her two lovely daughters Rachel and April at their home in Brookville.
